Abstract:
With increasing interest in LED lighting applications, this webinar starts by exploring LED characteristics. The Taylor series expression-based model is introduced to describe LED V-I characteristic curves. According to four parameters: 1) maximum operating point; 2) rated operating point; 3) knee point; and 4) temperature coefficient available in the manufacturer’s datasheets, the voltage-controlled piece-wise linear model can be built for circuit simulation work. The DC and AC equivalent circuit models of LEDs can be derived for system analysis and design.
